I refer to the letter from Nadura Kamarulzaman from Subang Jaya titled “Guan Eng’s repeal ISA comment not appropriate” on May 27 is not a good letter and not good for our caring society. She gave many examples of countries which are exercising the act similar to ISA but did she think that our political climate is not same with these countries?
Why should we put opposition politicians in ISA? Did they do anything wrong that can harm Malaysian people? Actually, they are fighting for the people’s rights. Moreover, they are people representatives and Member of the Parliament.
If they are using ISA for detain the terrorists, it is fine but why should government detain our opposition politicians? In our political context they are using ISA to limit the freedom of speech, expression and human rights.
The countries which Nadira gave example are not detaining any politicians. I think they should repeal ISA and initiate new act that can detain qualified terrorists not the politicians that championing people’s rights.

So do you mean to say its okay if they are Members of Parliament or wakil rakyat?
Even if they were recruited by foreign powers to be traitors of the country and the government does have evidence on that?
Petty minded.
If you said that they are traitors how can they become Members of Parliament? Think it wisely and broadly. If you have evidence bring them to the court not arrest without trial.
Narrow minded.Maintaining status quo without thinking.
